Please join us in welcoming our speaker for the month, Malik Tate, LCSW and Clinical Supervisor with LA County Department of Mental Health. He will be speaking about "Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT)." AOT provides outreach & engagement, screening & assessment, treatment for those who are in danger of hurting themselves or others, and failing to engage in or comply with treatment.
Mr. Tate has a Master's Degree in Social Work from USC and has spent his career working for social service agencies. For the past 15 years, he has worked with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health in such units as Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Hall and the women's jail in Lynwood. He has been a Clinical Supervisor for nine years.
